The Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs has confirmed Tony Dench’s appointment as Chair of the Financial Advice Code Committee, effective 14 August.
Tony is a professional director and consultant, and has been a member of the Committee for three years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England and Wales), a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons). He was previously CEO of a large New Zealand network of financial advisers. He has held senior leadership positions in banking and financial services in New Zealand and overseas.
The Minister has also confirmed the appointment of Judi Jones as a Committee member.
Judi is a professional director and consultant and also active in the voluntary sector. She is highly experienced in dispute resolution, having been Australia’s Telecommunications Ombudsman and New Zealand’s Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner. Judi was formerly Chair of the Australia and NZ Ombudsman Association and holds a law degree and a Masters of Business in Dispute Resolution.
